Severe weather has become the norm in Northern Arizona over the last week. The National Weather Service has been posting several Alerts per day, including severe thunderstorms, hail storms, flood watches, and even tornado warnings. Last Saturday, I went for a walk at the wrong time and found myself near the airport while the sky turned an ominous green-black. On the way home I experienced a lightning flash that seemed to come from all sides at once followed by an enormous crash of thunder. The concussion pounded my chest, but the bolt had missed. The rain came down hard and I walked home serenaded by car alarms all around. ~Nick
