On Wednesday, Follansbee received a sentence of 256 years for 33 related charges brought against him after he raped his then-15-year-old stepdaughter on two occasions on Oct. 12, 2006. The girl, now 17, said she takes anti-depressants, doesn’t like to be around her friends’ fathers, and has to take summer school to graduate after she missed so much school.
She said without a heavy sentence, she was afraid Follansbee would come after her or hurt somebody else.
“That night was a living nightmare,” she said. “He ruined my life.”
