WILLIAMS – As a continuation of a prescribed fire program, Kaibab National Forest officials are requesting approval to burn piles on the Williams Ranger District on Tuesday. If Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) endorses the request and favorable conditions exist, personnel will burn 90 acres of slash piles nine miles east of Williams, south of Interstate 40 near Sherwood Forest Estates.
