FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) — A man convicted of raping a Northern Arizona University student on campus last year has been sentenced to 69½ years in prison. Coconino County Superior Court prosecutors say 23-year-old Tyrone Wilson was sentenced Tuesday. Jurors in July found Wilson guilty on eight charges that included multiple counts of sexual assault and attempted sexual assault as well as endangerment, sexual abuse and kidnapping. The Arizona Daily Sun says a judge gave Wilson the maximum sentence on all counts. NAU police say an 18-year-old female student was sexually assaulted in the early morning hours of Nov. 19 and evidence found at the scene identified Wilson as a possible suspect. The U.S. Marshals Service arrested Wilson on Dec. 2 at a residence east of Blue Gap on the Navajo Nation.
