Cardinals Upgrading University of Phoenix Stadium Audio System

The Arizona Cardinals will go into next football season with one of the best audio systems in the NFL because the team is currently upgrading the audio system at the University of Phoenix Stadium. The upgraded audio system isn’t going to increase Arizona’s Super Bowl odds, but it will help them make life difficult for their opponents, who will have a hard time hearing the snap count. Interestingly, the University of Phoenix stadium was almost never built because at the time, the Cardinals were one of the worst teams in the NFL, and building a new stadium wasn’t considered a priority.

Since the stadium opened, it has hosted numerous Fiesta Bowls, two BCS National Championship games, and the Super Bowl. The stadium will be hosting the Super Bowl again in the near future as well as the 2017 NCAA Final Four. On Thursday, the Arizona Cardinals announced that the stadium audio system will be upgraded before the start of the 2016 season to provide a better fan experience. The new system will give the University of Phoenix Stadium the most modern and state-of-the-art technology available. The system will also give fans an unparalleled sound system with audio crispness and clarity.

In a press release, Cardinals’ President Michael Bidwill said the new system will have a profound effect on the fan experience. He mentioned that the stadium had undergone some visual enhancements with scoreboard upgrades and bigger screens. And he expects the audio improvements to be just as significant as the visual improvements, if not more. Even when the Cardinals weren’t playing well, the team has sold out every home game since 2006, which shows how dedicate the fans are to the team.

After making a Super Bowl run in 2009, the Cardinals regressed after Kurt Warner retired, but after hiring Bruce Arians in 2013, the team has become one of the best in the league. Every year since Arians was named head coach, the Cardinals win total improved from the previous year. After their 2014 season was derailed by an injury to Carson Palmer, which forced them to go into the playoffs with their third string quarterback, the team bounced back with an impressive 2015 season.

With a healthy Palmer in the lineup, the Cardinals had one of the top offenses in the NFL. Defensively, they were also very good, but an injury to safety Tyrann Mathieu had an impact on their defense towards the end of the season. Arizona still managed to finish the season with a 13-3 record, which was the second best in the NFL, and they made it to the NFC Championship Game, where they lost to the Carolina Panthers.

Even with the disappointing end to their season, the Cardinals have high hopes for the upcoming season because most of their roster from last year is still intact, and ready to make another Super Bowl run. With the new audio upgrade, Cardinals fans will get to enjoy watching one of the best teams in the NFL try to win its first Super Bowl since 1947, while enjoying the best audio system money can buy. Cardinals fans should also be happy to know that the new system is being funded by the team.
